Here are a few good tips for decorating your home this Christmas Season:
Use what you have. Decorating can be a very expensive undertaking. If you’ve got some sterling or silver plates, NOW’s the time to pull it out and use it! Let it SHINE!
MIX it up! Use some real pine roping or trees for the scent and then use fake in other places. It will save you time in cleaning up needles and money because you can use it again next year!
Learn how to use a glue gun! You’ll save a small fortune on decorations! ALL of my interior wreathes and my faux pine rope embellished with faux fruit and ribbon are almost 10 years old and I was able to save them from the trash by re-gluing the fruit and re- fluffing the ribbon. Looks like New! The Proof is in the Photo!
Orange you glad you had an Orange? Break up the color monotony. Instead of red and green everything, try ORANGE! During colonial days, oranges were very a hot commodity and a treasured gift. Use them to generously fill large glass vases from Michael’s, or a silver bowl and they will serve as both a beautiful and fragrant centerpiece on a table or mantle.
When decorating for Christmas, remember what the Season is all about: The birth of Jesus Christ. Be Proud. If you want to make a powerful statement: Be Bold and Go Big!
Merry Christmas! Hope you are all enjoying the Season!
