Now that the bells, whistles and boxes from the holidays are put away, its a great time of year to clean up the clutter that has amassed in the closets, drawers, basement, attic and garage.
Start in your own closet!
Sort everything by genre and then by color. Use every inch of space that you have, including the walls and the door! You can buy a strip of hooks at a harware store for belts, wraps, handbags, even large accessories like big hoops or necklaces!
A big corkboard on the door is great for invitations, a personal calendar a some inspirational pictures!
Be judicious in editing things out and be generous in donating! Also, if you have an unusually good piece, like a Louis Vuitton that you just don’t wear, Ebay or Craig’s List are both quick and easy marketplaces. But Beware! You are there to SELL, not BUY!
Just do 1 closet or a couple of chests of drawers on this first day of organizing bc if you do an entire room, you may end up feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, instead of light and happy, as you should!
